AWARD-WINNING LEGENDS IN CONCERT RETURNS TO BALLY’S ATLANTIC CITY FOR 2012

Atlantic City, NJ – (January 11, 2012) – Bally’s Atlantic City proudly announced today that Atlantic City’s most popular and legendary production attraction has returned for 2012.  Coming off the heels of its smashingly successful six month Bally’s and Harrah’s schedule during 2011, including dozens of advance sell-outs, “Legends in Concert,” the pioneer of live tribute shows and the longest-running entertainment attraction in Atlantic City’s history will re-open for a year-round schedule beginning February 17. Eight performances will take place each week through December 31 in Bally’s Palace Theater. The award-winning Las Vegas-based show will present five different stellar lineups of iconic performers during each year, including many new acts to this venue.   The 2012 edition of the stage show spectacular, which features live recreations of yesterday’s and today’s hottest superstars, backed by a live orchestra and dancers, promises to be more popular than ever with tickets available for just $32.50 and on sale January 13. 

The initial “Legends” 2012 production will feature tributes to Tina Turner, The Blues Brothers, Liza Minnelli, Ray Charles, and of course, Elvis Presley with performances at 8 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays, Sundays, Saturdays at 7:30p.m. & 10:00p.m., and a special matinee each Wednesday at 3pm.

The year-round engagement of “Legends” will feature state-of-the-art production elements including sound, lighting and signature video projection that replicates the iconic featured in all “Legends in Concert” productions.

“Legends in Concert” began in 1983 with a limited six-week engagement in Las Vegas, and now celebrates 28 years of success. The show has earned multiple awards, including the prestigious “Show of Shows” from the International Press Association. Today, “Legends” can be seen year-round at Harrah’s Las Vegas Casino & Hotel, and is the longest-running independently-owned production show in Las Vegas and Atlantic City. “Legends” also has long-term productions in top tourism destinations including Branson, Mo.; Myrtle Beach, S.C.; Waikiki, HI on the high seas aboard the Norwegian EPIC and other locations.
